Provider Information & Due Diligence Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Our Commitment

At TJC Group Medical and Dental Pty Ltd, we recognise that choosing healthcare overseas is a significant decision. We are committed to providing factual, balanced and transparent information to help Australians and New Zealanders better understand the healthcare providers featured by TJC Group.

This policy explains how we gather information, the due diligence we may undertake before entering into a professional relationship with a healthcare provider, and the important limitations of that process.

Our Role

TJC Group Medical and Dental Pty Ltd is an Australian company providing healthcare education, patient support and non-clinical care coordination.

We are not:

  • A healthcare provider;
  • A hospital or clinic;
  • A medical or dental practice;
  • A regulator;
  • An accreditation organisation;
  • A licensing authority;
  • A professional registration body;
  • A clinical auditor; or
  • A government agency.

Our role is to provide information and support—not to certify or guarantee healthcare providers.

Why We Conduct Due Diligence

Healthcare providers featured by TJC Group are selected because we believe they align with our values of professionalism, transparency and patient-centred care.

Before establishing a professional relationship, we may undertake a non-clinical review to better understand the provider, its facilities and the services it offers.

Our objective is to make informed decisions about who we choose to work with—not to determine clinical competence or replace regulatory oversight.

Our Review Process

Our review process may include one or more of the following activities, depending on the provider and the nature of the proposed relationship.

These activities may include:

  • Visiting hospitals and clinics in person;
  • Meeting hospital executives, clinic owners and management teams;
  • Meeting healthcare practitioners and support staff;
  • Reviewing publicly available information regarding registrations, licences or professional memberships where appropriate;
  • Considering qualifications, credentials and information provided by the healthcare provider;
  • Reviewing information about facilities, equipment and available services;
  • Discussing patient pathways and administrative processes;
  • Reviewing publicly available patient information and educational materials;
  • Considering communication standards and responsiveness; and
  • Assessing whether the provider’s philosophy and standards align with those expected by tjc group.

The scope of any review will vary depending on the provider and the services offered.

Ongoing Relationships

Our relationship with participating healthcare providers does not end once a provider is featured by TJC Group.

Where practical, we may continue to:

  • Visit facilities periodically;
  • Meet with management and healthcare practitioners;
  • Review publicly available information;
  • Monitor changes to services and facilities;
  • Discuss patient feedback where appropriate;
  • Update website content to reflect significant changes; and
  • Review whether the relationship continues to align with our values and expectations.

The frequency and extent of these activities will vary and should not be interpreted as continuous monitoring or ongoing auditing.

Information We Publish

Information published by TJC Group may include:

  • Descriptions of healthcare providers;
  • Services offered;
  • Practitioner profiles;
  • Facilities and technology;
  • Treatment information;
  • Educational content;
  • Photographs supplied by providers or taken during site visits;
  • Pricing information where made available by providers; and
  • Other factual information considered relevant to patients.

We aim to ensure that published information is accurate at the time of publication.

However, healthcare services, practitioner availability, qualifications, technology, pricing and regulatory status may change without notice.

Patients should always confirm current information directly with the relevant healthcare provider before making treatment or travel decisions.

What Our Due Diligence Does Not Mean

Our review process should not be interpreted as meaning that TJC Group has:

  • Clinically assessed every practitioner;
  • Independently verified every qualification or credential;
  • Audited every clinical procedure;
  • Inspected every item of equipment;
  • Verified ongoing regulatory compliance;
  • Assessed every clinical outcome;
  • Guaranteed patient satisfaction; or
  • Certified that a provider is superior to any other provider.

Healthcare providers remain independently responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements and professional standards in the jurisdictions in which they operate.

No Accreditation or Certification

Unless expressly stated otherwise, healthcare providers featured by TJC Group are not accredited, certified or endorsed by TJC Group.

Our decision to feature a provider reflects our assessment that a professional relationship is appropriate based on the information available to us at the time.

It is not a guarantee of:

  • Treatment quality;
  • Clinical competence;
  • Patient outcomes;
  • Future performance; or
  • Ongoing compliance.

Professional Independence

Healthcare providers operate as independent businesses and professional practices.

They are solely responsible for:

  • Diagnosis;
  • Treatment recommendations;
  • Clinical decision-making;
  • Informed consent;
  • Treatment delivery;
  • Prescribing medication;
  • Aftercare;
  • Management of complications;
  • Pricing of healthcare services; and
  • Compliance with applicable laws and professional obligations.

TJC Group does not supervise, direct or control the clinical practice of independent healthcare providers.

Patient Responsibility

Patients remain responsible for making their own healthcare decisions.

We strongly encourage patients to:

  • Undertake their own research;
  • Ask questions directly of healthcare providers;
  • Request copies of qualifications, registrations or licences where relevant;
  • Understand the proposed treatment and associated risks;
  • Obtain independent medical advice where appropriate; and
  • Ensure they are comfortable before proceeding with treatment.

Healthcare decisions should always be based on individual circumstances and professional clinical advice.

Limitation of Our Review

Our due diligence represents a point-in-time assessment based upon information reasonably available to us.

Healthcare providers may change:

  • Ownership;
  • Management;
  • Practitioners;
  • Facilities;
  • Equipment;
  • Pricing;
  • Services;
  • Policies; or
  • Regulatory status.

Accordingly, TJC Group cannot guarantee that information will remain current after publication, although we endeavour to review and update information periodically.

Reporting Concerns

If you believe information published by TJC Group is inaccurate or out of date, or if you have concerns regarding a participating healthcare provider, we encourage you to contact us.

Where appropriate, we will review the information, seek clarification from the provider and update our content if necessary.

Receiving information or concerns does not necessarily mean that published material will be amended, nor does it constitute a finding regarding the quality of care provided.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TJC Group accepts no responsibility for:

  • Clinical decisions made by healthcare providers;
  • Diagnosis or treatment provided by healthcare providers;
  • Treatment outcomes;
  • Complications;
  • Practitioner conduct;
  • Changes in provider services;
  • Pricing;
  • Regulatory decisions; or
  • Information supplied to us by third parties.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.
