Commercial Relationships & Transparency Policy

Last updated: 27 July 2026

Our Commitment to Transparency

At TJC Group Medical and Dental Pty Ltd, we believe that trust is built through honesty, transparency and informed decision-making. We are committed to being open about how our business operates, how we work with healthcare providers, and how our commercial relationships support the services we provide. This policy explains our approach to commercial relationships and is intended to help visitors understand our role.

Who We Are

TJC Group Medical and Dental Pty Ltd is an Australian company that provides healthcare education, non-clinical support, administrative assistance and introductions to selected independent healthcare providers in Bali.

We are not a hospital, medical or dental practice, healthcare provider, health insurer or travel agency.

We do not provide medical, dental or surgical treatment, diagnose medical conditions, recommend specific treatment, or make clinical decisions on behalf of patients. Clinical responsibility always remains with the treating healthcare provider.

Why We Work With Selected Providers

Over time, we have developed professional relationships with selected hospitals, clinics and healthcare practitioners in Bali.

These relationships allow us to:

  • Provide reliable educational information;
  • Maintain current knowledge of participating providers and services;
  • Assist patients with non-clinical enquiries;
  • Facilitate introductions where requested;
  • Improve communication between patients and providers; and
  • Dedicate more time and resources to patient education and community support.

Not every healthcare provider in Bali is featured by TJC Group, and inclusion should not be interpreted as meaning that other providers are unsuitable.

How We Select Providers

We choose to work only with providers who align with the professional standards and values expected by TJC Group.

When considering a commercial relationship, we may undertake a non-clinical review that can include:

  • Visiting hospitals and clinics;
  • Meeting management teams and healthcare practitioners;
  • Reviewing publicly available registrations and credentials where appropriate;
  • Considering facilities, services and patient support processes;
  • Reviewing information supplied by the provider; and
  • Assessing whether the provider aligns with our commitment to patient education, transparency and professionalism.

These activities are not formal audits, regulatory assessments or accreditation processes and should not be interpreted as guarantees of clinical quality or treatment outcomes.

Further information is available in our Provider Information & Due Diligence Policy.

Commercial Relationships

TJC Group maintains commercial relationships with some healthcare providers featured on our website or within our community. These arrangements may include referral, marketing, educational or administrative support agreements. The existence of a commercial relationship does not alter our commitment to providing accurate, balanced and responsible information.

How We Are Paid

Our business may receive remuneration from participating healthcare providers for services performed under commercial agreements.

These arrangements allow us to invest in:

  • Patient education;
  • Website development;
  • Provider research;
  • Clinic and hospital visits;
  • Educational resources;
  • Community management;
  • Business operations; and
  • Ongoing development of our services.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, patients are not charged by TJC Group for requesting information or introductions.

Independence of Clinical Care

Commercial relationships do not give TJC Group any authority over clinical decisions.

We do not:

  • Determine whether treatment is appropriate;
  • Influence clinical recommendations;
  • Set treatment plans;
  • Determine pricing;
  • Provide medical or dental advice;
  • Supervise treatment; or
  • Direct healthcare providers in the delivery of patient care.

All clinical decisions remain solely between the patient and the treating healthcare provider

Freedom of Choice

Patients are always free to choose their preferred healthcare provider. You are under no obligation to use a provider introduced by TJC Group. Likewise, healthcare providers remain free to accept or decline patients in accordance with their own professional, ethical and legal obligations.

No Guarantees

Although we aim to provide accurate and up-to-date information, TJC Group cannot guarantee:

  • Treatment outcomes;
  • Clinical suitability;
  • Appointment availability;
  • Waiting times;
  • Pricing;
  • Exchange rates;
  • Travel arrangements;
  • Insurance cover;
  • Warranties offered by providers; or
  • The ongoing availability of any healthcare provider or service.

Healthcare services, practitioner availability and pricing may change without notice.

Our Commitment to Ethical Conduct

We are committed to operating with integrity and professionalism. We aim to:

  • Provide factual and balanced educational information;
  • Disclose commercial relationships openly;
  • Encourage patients to undertake their own research;
  • Encourage patients to seek independent professional advice where appropriate;
  • Avoid misleading or deceptive representations; and
  • Place patient education and informed decision-making at the centre of everything we do.

Accuracy of Information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on our website is accurate at the time of publication.

However, healthcare services, practitioner registrations, qualifications, fees, technology and regulations may change over time.

For the most current information, patients should confirm details directly with the relevant healthcare provider before making decisions regarding treatment or travel.

Transparency Matters

We believe transparency strengthens trust.

By openly explaining our business model and commercial relationships, we aim to ensure visitors understand both the services we provide and the limits of our role. We encourage every patient to make informed decisions based on their own circumstances, independent research and advice from appropriately qualified healthcare professionals.
